David Borisovich Borovsky
was born in 1926. He graduated from I.Y.Repin Institute (Academy of Arts of USSR) in 1952. The artist, when still young, gets important Government commission to illustrate full academic works of Turgenev, Dostoyevsky, Korolenko and others. Also interesting his early live watercolor portraits of famous musicians: Shostakovich, Temerkanov, Rostropovich, Vishnevskaya and others. D.Borovsky exhibited on most All-Russia exhibitions. His works are in Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum and provincial museums.
