Andreev Ivan Ivanovich (1915-?)

Studied at the Academy of Arts under L.A.Ostrovskaya and B.A.Fogel. Degree work: "V.I.Lenin and N.K.Krupskaya in the hostel of VKhUTEMAS (Higher Artistic and Technical Workshops)", under the guidance of M.I.Avilov (in the Museum of the Academy of Arts, Saint-Petersburg). Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1942. Participated in various exhibitions from 1954. Author of "Soldiers in a Dugout Read «How the Steel Was Tempered»" (1944; Museum of N.A.Ostrovsky, Moscow), "Pathway in Forest" (1954), "Portrait of I.I.Zvontsova, teacher of the Leningrad Middle Art School" (1954), "Hay Is Mowing" (1955), "V.I.Lenin in Razliv" (1952-1957), "In V.I.Lenin's Office" (1961), "V.I.Lenin, Year 1918" (1964) etc. Author of illustrations for N.A.Ostrovsky's unfinished novel "Born of the Storm". Teached in the Leningrad Middle Art School (from 1951). Íonoured Art Worker of Russia.
