Treskin Anatoly Vladimirovich (1905-?)
The People’s artist of RSFSR, the Laureate of State premium, the member of USSR Union of Artists. He was awarded with Gold medal of Academy of Arts. He graduated from VKhUTEMAS Art-Industrial school (was the student of V.N.Kuchumov, V.A.Kuznetsov, D.I.Kippik). During pre-war ages being the painter of monumental arts, he was making restoration of painting décor in Shuvaloff, Yusupoff, Stroganoff’s palaces, also painted workers’ clubs, palaces of culture, sanatoriums. After the War ended he took part in the restoration of Mariinsky theatre and Maly Opera theatre, the Hermitage and the State Russian Museum halls, park pavilions and also palatial halls of the Palace-and-park ensemble Oranienbaum, the Palace-and-park ensemble Trarskoe Selo, Novgorod, Pskov and Susdal cathedrals. In 1950-70 he leaded restoration of paintings in Pavlovsk palace. In his pictures color and composition of still-lives, portraits and landscapes Treskin has come under the influence of old monumental- decorative art painters of XVIII-XIX centuries. Treskin’s canvases are preserved in St. Petersburg museums and private collections.
