Yuri Alexandrovich Shtapakov

Was born on 29 November 1958 in Leningrad, Russia.
1970—74 — a student at Children„s Art School, no. 8
1974—78 — a student at an Art College
Since 1989 — free lance artist. A member of the artist group of «Iron Seeds».
Since 1993 — a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

Main graphic techniques: etching, monotype, linocuts. Does much painting.
Entered for exhibitions in Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, France.
Illustrated books by B. Vian, G. Orwell, J. R.R. Tolkien and others.
His works belong to various museums and private collections.
