- How can I purchase on Sovietpainting.com?
Please, make your order on the main page or in "Gallery" section where the received paintings are presented. On our site you can see pictures selected according to their price categories and subjects. To order the chosen picture follow "Buy" reference and fill in the form. Fill in the country and the city where you are situated, telephone and city code. Press the "Send" button to send your personal data to us. We'll contact you as soon as possible.

What forms of payment do you accept?
At present we accept wire transfer only. We'll send you our banking data when we come to agreement concerning purchase. In the near future Discover, MasterCard, and Visa payment will be available through Accist on-line payment system.
- What is delivery cost and time?
We are sending orders by means of DHL and EMS Garantpost courier services. Cost and time of delivery correspond to tariffs and terms of courier services. We'll need some days for packing and making documents for customs according to Russian legislation. Delivery is only made after receipt of the agreed sum (order cost + delivery cost). We specify exact delivery cost after discussing details with a purchaser.
- How do you guarantee picture safety?
We guarantee that all the pictures shown on the site correspond to descriptions and photos. Insurance cost in case of courier service delivery is agreed independently. Paintings are sold in original condition, without restoration and any other interference. We state all inherent defects in picture description. You can also order some more photos in addition to those on the site to have more clear idea of the picture. We guarantee authenticity of authorship of pictures.
- Is it possible to send a picture in frame?
For better safety we send pictures without frames. If a graphic work has some unusual mat we send it together with the picture. Picture cost doesn't include the frame.
- May I return the order for some reasons?
You may return your order within 5 days from the date of receipt without indication of reason. To return the order you need to inform us about returning by e-mail. Order cost will be returned to you except for delivery cost. Condition of the picture shall be the same as at the moment of dispatch.
- How famous are the artists presented on your site?
Tens of thousands of artists were working professionally in Soviet Russia. Those painters whose works were exhibited at All-Union exhibitions could obtain general recognition. They had to hold some regional and municipal exhibitions before. A painter won All-Union recognition if his works were purchased by Tretiakov Gallery and Russian Museum. Artists who had such titles as Peoples Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Art Worker were very much respected. The following circumstances were also of great importance for painter's career: demonstration of his pictures at various museums, foreign creative voyages and exhibitions, newspaper articles and books about his creation.
